Quick Overview

Best suited for potable water plumbing applications, 1/2" CTS PEX Pipe can withstand high and low temperatures found in plumbing and heating applications. It is highly resistant to chemicals found in the plumbing environment. It has 1/2" CTS (Copper Tube Size) diameter inside and 5/8" diameter outside.

Compared to metal pipes or rigid plastic pipe, 1/2" CTS PEX Pipe has several advantages. It is highly flexible, resistant to chlorine and scale, doesn't wear away or develop pinholes. It is highly durable under extreme temperature, chemical attack, and better resists creep deformation. Moreover it is easy to install, provide low cost installation, and has fewer connections and fittings.

PEX’s are available in multiple colors for ease of water line identification. They are designed for indoor and buried applications only. PEX Pipes should not be exposed to direct sunlight for any extended period of time.

3/4" CTS PEX Tube Information:
PEX Tubing is suitable for use with hot or cold water.
PEX Tubing can be used with steel, copper, PVC, annd CPVC Plumbing pipe.
PEX is the most flexible plumbing pipe available. PEX flexibility allows it to expand and contract more than other types of piping which makes PEX more burst-resistant.
3/4" CTS PEX Pipe Installation:

PEX is flexible, making it easy to install and service. It can bend around most corners without a fitting or coupling. For example, 3/8" pipe may be bent to a 4" radius and 1/2" pipe to a 5" radius and 3/4" pipe to a 7" radius.

The flexibility of PEX allows it to be supplied in coils meaning installations under the slab can be made in a single, continuous length without the need for fittings. PEX is not affected by concrete, (it is commonly encased in concrete for radiant floor heating). PEX, however, must be sleeved when penetrating a slab.
